Message from the Headmistress
We have made it to the end of our busy and most successful year: Hollygirt School’s 140th. Whilst it is a shame not to have a World Cup final to look forward to, the children and staff are all ready for a well-earned summer break. Some will be jetting off, others staying much closer to home, most will find something of their inner sloth. I hope each has time to give to others, time to read, time to explore new things and time to recharge.
I remind pupils that we return to school on Wednesday 5th September. Here are some key dates for the new term:
Prize Giving – Wednesday 17th October. A full attendance is expected at this prestigious evening event for all pupils from Years 3 to 11.
Half Term – 2 weeks off breaking up on Friday 20th October and returning on Monday 5th November.
Prize Giving Holiday (school closed) – Friday 7th December.
Christmas Carol Service – Monday 10th December. A full attendance at this evening event is expected for all pupils from Years 3 to 11.
Finish for the Christmas Break – Thursday 20th December.
Sadly, we are saying goodbye to a number of colleagues and to a number of pupils at the end of this term. We hope the transition to what comes next is smooth and life is happy.
Have a fabulous break.
