Message from the Headmistress
We have tried to shine with our good and kind deeds and with our tinsel and glitter to raise the spirits this week in school. There were certainly many kindnesses to report in assembly this morning. Let’s continue the theme in our daily lives; it’s the little things that make all the difference…
On Monday we welcomed lots of children internal and external to our revamped style entrance day for our Year 7 entry next year. It was lovely to see the children in a non-examined situation and to enable them to build relationships with their peers. Each pupil also had an interview.
Next week, on Wednesday, we have our parents’ training evening where there will be sessions on NSPCC Online Safety, Mental Health First Aid and Girls on Board. More information can be found on the letter.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
Message from the Head of Juniors
The children have very much enjoyed wearing their sparkly and bright coloured accessories this week. Throughout the week, we have been talking about emotional health and trying to think more about how others may be feeling. There have been so many acts of kindness displayed which I am sure will continue beyond this week; we really do have very kind children here at Hollygirt.
Well done to the children who participated in the Dodgeball tournament on Tuesday. Miss Cooper was very proud of how well our team played and they all had a fantastic time.
Next Wednesday, we are holding an after school meetings to discuss internet safety (hosted by the NSPCC), mental health first aid and Girls on Board. Please return the reply slips to let us know if you will be attending.
Finally, a huge congratulations to Brooke in Year 6. Last weekend, her synchronised ice skating team, ‘The Ice Pops’ won the British Championships. What an amazing achievement; we are all very proud of you.
Have a lovely weekend,
Head of Juniors
