Message from the Deputy Head
Dear Parents,
It has been competition week between our Houses in the Senior School. Pupils have been representing their House in various competitions including: Emotional Health Blog, Nutrition and Hydration Display, Comedy Skit to Year 5, Tag Rugby, Positive Message in Sign Language and today we had brave pupils presenting today’s assembly on our twinned city Ghent.
On Wednesday, I will holding the end of term Rewards Assembly when I will announce the winners of each competition.
ECAs continue next week even though it is only a 3 day week. After Easter, the PE Department will be offering summer activities.
House point totals for Spring Term are as follows which makes Clumber the winners…. with a celebratory trip to Planet Bounce on Monday.
GCSE mock exams have been taking place for Year 11 this week. I have been impressed with their focus and effort this term as their final exams are only a few weeks away. The Year 11 Prefect team held a cake sale today to raise money for their Prom.
At 11.45pm tonight, Mr Rollinson and support staff are taking 19 of our pupils to Iceland for 5 days. I hope they all have an amazing time and I look forward to hearing about their adventures when they return.
A reminder that the auditions for our Senior School Production of Joseph will take place after school next Tuesday 26th from 4-5pm.
Have a lovely weekend,

Message from the Head of Prep
Good afternoon,
Firstly, thank you to everyone who has sent in sponsor money for the Red Nose Day fun run last Friday. If possible, please could any additional money be sent in to school by Monday. We will update you on the total raised once we have collected it all in.
Years 1 and 2 enjoyed their visit to the Infant Agility Festival on Monday and I was pleased to hear of some exceptional performances. Yesterday, Key Stage 2 began the auditions for parts in the Prep production of The Lion King which will be performed in the Summer Term. I know the whole of the Prep School are looking forward to participating in this.
This lunchtime, Year 11 have been selling delicious cakes today to raise money for their Prom. Later this afternoon, the Friends of Hollygirt will be meeting to discuss some events they are hoping to organise for next term. Following this, I am looking forward to seeing many of the children perform in the teatime concert.
Well done to Welbeck who have gained the most house points this term. They will be visiting Planet Bounce on Monday which I am sure will be great fun.
Extra curricular activities for this term have now finished. After School Club will, however, run until the end of term. The new programme for ECA will be published at the start of next term with a range of interesting activities at lunchtime and after school for the children to enjoy.
You will have received an email from Mrs Heatlie about Careers Day on Wednesday 8th May. If you would like to come in on this day to talk about your career, please let her know. Thank you to parents who have already volunteered for this.
The Spring Term finishes on Wednesday 27th March. This is a full school day and After School Club will run as usual. It will be non-uniform and we are asking children in bring in £2. This will be split between the four charities which the houses have chosen.
Have a lovely break and I look forward to seeing you when we return on Tuesday 16th April.
Have a lovely weekend,
