Engaging with local community groups is a rewarding aspect to the enrichment programme. One impactful way each December is by spending time at local community gatherings, chatting with individuals who might feel lonely during Christmas. Through genuine conversations and companionship, sixth formers can brighten someone’s day and spread warmth during a time that can be isolating for some. Additionally, organising and distributing Christmas cards to these groups not only brings joy but also shows care and solidarity within the community. These activities not only build empathy and understanding but also bridge generational gaps, creating a sense of togetherness and shared goodwill within the local community.
