Friends of Hollygirt

Friends of Hollygirt (FOH) is a our parent/teacher association.This committee, involving parents and staff, arranges social events and raises money to support the pupils’ activities through a programme of events.

Second Hand Uniform Shop

The Second Hand Uniform Shop is in the Friends’ Room in 9 Villa Road. Please be aware that we only accept cash or cheque and payment must be made at the time of purchase.

As you know, the last uniform shop was cancelled due to it clashing with the Harvest Festival. This has now been rescheduled for Friday 19th October between 1.45pm and 3.45pm.

Curry and Quiz Night 2018

The Friends of Hollygirt invite you to our annual curry night, which will take place on Monday 19th November at The Cumin, 62-64 Maid Marian Way, Nottingham NG1 6BJ. The meal will begin at 7pm.

As usual there will be fabulous raffle prizes up for grabs, including Nottingham Playhouse tickets, a signed Notts Outlaws cricket shirt and a meal for two worth £40. There’s also the opportunity to participate in Mrs Hutley’s renowned curry night quiz!

A £3 discount can be obtained on parking at St James Street NCP by bringing your parking ticket to the restaurant, which will issue you with a £5 ticket (down from the usual £8).

We are limited to 65 tickets only so please buy early to avoid missing out on one of our most popular events on the year. Tickets cost £16 and are available from the school reception, or alternatively you can return the slip on the letter below to Mr Thompson via your child’s Form Tutor. All adults welcome!

Hollygirt Hoodies for Adults and Children

The Friends of Hollygirt are delighted to once again offer the opportunity to purchase Hollygirt hoodies. The hoodies are just for fun
and are not part of the school uniform. They are great to wear for sports, holidays, shopping, non-uniform school trips or any other

The hoodies come in two varieties: standard (over the head) or zipped. Both feature an embroidered Hollygirt School logo on the left
breast, and logo and optional child’s name on the back. The hoodies are very high quality and represent excellent value for money;
child sizes cost £20 and adult sizes cost £25.

Please complete the order form on the reverse of the letter below and return to your child’s Form Tutor by Friday 12th October.

Junior School Tea Towels

Friends of Hollygirt are delighted to offer Hollygirt tea towels featuring self-portraits of children and staff in the Junior School. These make for excellent Christmas presents, keepsakes, and… tea towels! You may well be in possession of a tea towel from your own childhood, and if so, know how valuable these one-of-a-kind items can be.

The tea towels are made from linen and cost £4 each.

Friends of Hollygirt Years 7 to 9 Fright Night Disco


Friends of Hollygirt are delighted to invite pupils in Years 7 – 9 to a ‘Fright Night’ Halloween Disco on Thursday 8th November in the Senior School Hall. This event will be FREE to attend as part of our ongoing commitment to organising social events for Hollygirt pupils.

Pupils are encouraged to stay after school in order to get changed into fancy dress. Food will be served at 5.00pm, followed by the disco at 5.30pm. The event will finish at 7.00pm.

We have hired the services of a professional face painter who will, with permission, paint pupils’ faces with a selection of designs between 3.45pm and 5.00pm. Availability is limited, so pupils will be prioritised according to the order of returned slips.
