Dear Parents,
We opened the week in the Senior School with an assembly by Mrs Brown on individuality. The second half of the assembly I used to celebrate the achievements of Year 8 and the phone covers they made in Textiles. The phone covers were judged by Miss Hill and she selected pupils in the top four places.
In Food and Nutrition, Miss Hill selected 3 entries for this year’s Tunnocks Teacake Challenge. This is a national competition with other schools to create a culinary piece of Art using a Tunnocks Teacake. This year the theme is the four elements.
With Sports Day just over a week away, pupils are training for their events and I could hear each House practising their chant in House time on Wednesday. I have emailed parents today with a MS Form I would like you to complete please.
Year 11 have nearly completed their exams. Their approach and behaviour has been excellent for their exams. Mrs Brimblecombe is putting together final plans for the Prom on Friday 28th June.
I would like to wish Tendai good luck who will be competing in discus in the ISA Championships – he will be representing the Midlands team, and of course Hollygirt.
There is as buzz in school at the moment with all of the exciting events that we have in the remainder of this term. Our pupils are responding brilliantly and they are a credit to you and the school.
Kind regards,
Mr Cholerton
Acting Head
