Friends of Hollygirt

Friends of Hollygirt (FOH) is a our parent/teacher association. The aim of FOH is to support the school and its activities. As you will appreciate, every school needs numerous avenues of support and the more varied these are, the greater the enhancement of the pupils’ education.

FOH run the Second Hand Uniform Shop, sell sweatshirts and other branded items, organise the Christmas hamper raffle, organise pupil Christmas cards, run two discos for pupils from Years 1 to 6, provide refreshments for Sports Days, organise parent social events and lots of other exciting activities.

So far this academic year, FOH has provided:

  • New AstroTurf for the Junior School playground
  • Playground equipment for the Junior School (e.g. skipping ropes, balls, stilts, hoppers, hoops)
  • Amazon Kindles to support the Senior School
  • A set of ukuleles
  • A guinea pig cage for Early Years
  • Book token prize for the winner of the Short Story Writing Club competition
  • A suggestion box for pupils to submit their ideas to the School Council
  • A set of indoor kurling stones
  • Hollygirt branded bookmarks to give out to pupils in their English reading lessons
  • New microscope for the Senior School science department
  • My Maths subscription
  • Junior School ‘Worry Monsters’
  • Football kits for Football Club
  • New equipment for Food and Nutrition
  • Needles for Knit and Natter Club
  • Boxing gloves for BoxFit Club
  • Lego Mindstorms Robot for Lego Engineering Club
