Staff Vacancies

We currently have two vacancies at Hollygirt School.

PUPIL DEVELOPMENT / EHCP CO-ORDINATOR

April 2019

Hollygirt School is a small co-educational independent school (3-16 years) based just outside Nottingham city centre on a pleasant tree lined avenue. It serves pupils from throughout the county and beyond. Currently there are around 200 pupils on roll, of whom 5 are in receipt of an EHCP.

We take pupils of all abilities with a genuine desire to offer inclusive opportunities for all.  We have high expectations of our pupils’ work ethic and positive behaviour and we subscribe to traditional values of kindness, tolerance, and courtesy.  Our key philosophy is that all pupils are treated as individuals.

We are offering a unique new, non-teaching position for the right person to join our team to assist with the support of children with identified needs.

There are two main areas of responsibility:

  1. The management of those children who have Education, Health Care Plans; the administration involved with the EHCP and building relationships with pupils, parents, teachers and external professionals.
  2. Specific support of these and other children throughout the school based on a particular skill that the post holder is able to contribute.

The position is part time (30 hours per week) and is term time only.  The hours are negotiable, 6 hours per day plus an unpaid lunch break.  The starting salary will be paid at a commensurate point on the non-teaching NJC scale of £29,909 (point 33) to £32,233 (point 36) FTE.  This equates to £18,390-£19,819 for the hours stated above, payable in 12 equal monthly payments.  The annual pay rise is added from September each year.

It is possible for potential applicants to make an appointment to look around the school (before 15th February), before making an application or to speak to the Head about specific matters.  Please contact school on 0115 958 0596 or lucywilkins@hollygirt.notts.sch.uk.

If you wish to apply for this position, please return Application Forms Part I and II with the Diversity Monitoring Form and a covering letter by 12.00pm on Wednesday 27th February, addressed to Mrs P S Hutley (Headmistress).  Interviews will take place week commencing 4th March.  The position will commence at the start of the Summer Term, from Tuesday 23rd April 2019.

We are happy to receive either electronic or paper applications. Please email any electronic applications to lucywilkins@hollygirt.notts.sch.uk .

All applicants will undergo a full DBS check.

Closing date for applications: Wednesday 27th February, 12.00pm
