Found: Hollygirt Hedgehog!

Junior School pupils found a hedgehog in the playground on Friday! We phoned Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust and put it on speakerphone so all the children could hear. The Trust gave us the number for Hedgehog Rescue and advised us to keep him in a box indoors and to give him some water. We were then visited by a lovely lady who picked up the hedgehog to take to a lady called Leslie in Ilkeston who has an animal hospital for foxes, badgers and hedgehogs.

We were told that he was a fully grown hedgehog and not injured but underweight and he would need feeding up before being released.
