High Fives Netball Report – 26/04/2017

We played well at the City Schools Netball Finals – finishing 4th out of 8 and narrowly missing out on the medals.

Despite being the smallest and youngest team, we managed to put into practice more of the skills and tactics that we had practised during training.

We beat Ambleside 3-2 to get through into the quarter finals where we met previous opponents Heathfield – a very fast and energetic team! Despite leading for half of the game, we eventually conceded a 6-3 defeat. This meant we were in the playoffs for Bronze.  Our opponents were Southwark – a team who literally towered over everyone! Again, we led the game until the final 5 minutes and unfortunately lost 6-2 due to some quick goals.

Considering the height and expertise of our team, we did really well. Amelia and Henna noticeably improved from the initial rounds and Simon did well, despite only being drafted in last week!

Mrs Keyworth says well done and agrees with Brook that everyone that took part should have a medal!
