At the end of last term our Year 3 – 8 pupils welcomed Rachel Hamilton, author of ‘The Case of The Exploding Loo’. For a full review from the event, click here to read the story.
On the first day of the new term I visited each of the form rooms and took pictures. Pictured below are the Year 7 – Year 10 pupils in Clumber House and Rufford House. We wish them all the very best for this academic year!
During the summer holidays Mrs Twells organised an activity, giving junior pupils the opportunity to spend the day at the Nottingham Climbing Centre. 15 pupils from Year 2 to Year 6 had a great day as they took part in climbing, bouldering and team building activities. It was enormous fun and they loved stretching themselves – literally in some cases, to reach the top of the wall. In exchange for their rock climbing lessons, they taught the climbing centre staff how to make loom band bracelets.
The last assignment our Year 5 and 6 children completed before their D.A.R.E – Drug Abuse Resistance Education graduation, was to organise an assembly for the Junior School, explaining the key elements of what they learned.
