Mrs Keyworth took a mixed team to the Nottingham City High Five Netball Championships on Wednesday. We finished second which means we have progressed through to the finals!
As Year 1 and Year 2 have worked so very hard this term, they were rewarded with a day of Easter fun!
Mrs Wand made chocolate Easter nests with each group in turn, whilst the other groups made Easter baskets to put them in.
In the afternoon, we had an Easter egg hunt. The children worked in teams of three to find cardboard eggs numbered 1-10, which had been hidden in the garden. They then had to rearrange the letters on the back of each egg to solve an Easter related anagram. Once they’d done all of this, they were rewarded with another edible Easter treat to take home.
Happy Easter, everyone!
Year 7 pupils have been creating a museum display for items found in a soldier’s bag from WW2. They created labels for each item, imagining where they were from and the story of each item.
Good luck to Becky and Rosie – they are preparing the backgrounds ready for their final exam after Easter. This will be the final hand in of all work for the course.
As part of our work to mark Autism Awareness Week at Hollygirt, we have all enjoyed visiting the cake sale today.
Thank you to everyone who baked or bought cakes for us to sell. All of the money raised will go to The National Autistic Society to help support their work raising awareness of autism.
