House Structure

The vertical House structure provides a competitive mechanism and offers a greater social experience for our pupils.

In Junior School, all pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 are attached to one of three vertical Houses: Oak, Elm or Chestnut.

There are four Houses in the Senior School: Clumber, Rufford, Thoresby and Welbeck. Pupils in Senior School are allocated to a House.

There are several opportunities throughout the year for pupils to represent their House in a variety of sports, music and other events.  Merit marks and commendations for good work and progress also contribute to House totals for which trophies are awarded at Prize Giving.
