We are aware that Dagfa School is closing at the end of this academic year and we are sorry to hear of the uncertainty that many parents will now be facing over the coming weeks. We have availability across the year groups to take pupils from September and would be happy to show families around the school and discuss how we can best support you in finding a new school for your child.
Message from the Headmistress
Welcome to Hollygirt School’s website. We hope this gives you an enticing snapshot of our fabulous school. Hollygirt is a special place with a unique atmosphere. Our pupils are supported in the family oriented environment and really do achieve their full potential. A top quality education is not just about getting top grades, though many of our children do; it is about having the finest educational journey, with opportunities within and beyond the curriculum for all. We offer the correct balance between support and risk taking, between directed and independent learning. Our pupils leave school with their confidence high and their self esteem intact, ready to face the challenges of the world. We expect that all our pupils will look smart, be well disciplined, work their hardest and be courteous and kind. All our pupils are individuals known to all staff by name. There is no Hollygirt type: we take pupils of all abilities, from different social and cultural backgrounds who mix harmoniously together. I lead a team of talented and dedicated professionals, whose first priority is your child’s education.
Now fully co-educational, Hollygirt welcomes applications from girls and boys aged 3-16. Whilst most children join us at age 3 or 4 , age 7 and age 11, it is not unusual for us to accept pupils into any year group, to start at any point in the academic year, subject to places being available.
Want to know more? Read on or better still make an appointment to come in so you can see and feel what makes us the best small school in Nottinghamshire.
